This is a blog about an extraordinary gift: the Zoom Blanket! It’s a hand-crafted blanket made up of squares knitted by a whole bunch of wonderful women in Canada, the United States, Australia and Africa. They made it for me because I’m a blogger who has been having a rough year (I got laid off from my job of 18 years, diagnosed with breast cancer, and hammered by a herniated disk, chronic pain and disability, all within a six-week span. On the bright side, my prognosis is good and I’m slowly digging my way out.)
I wrote about this extraordinary gift on my own blog, KnitNut.net, shortly after the blanket was lovingly assembled in California by Rachael and friends, and personally delivered to me in Ottawa by Grace.
But now I’ve decided the blanket deserves its own blog, so we can all see all the squares in glorious detail, and meet the kind and generous women behind them.
